ALLAH THE ALMIGHTY
Synopsis
This song’s theme is the mercy and compassion of God. It focuses on the generosity of The Almighty and the need for mankind to reciprocate His gifts with genuine gratitude. Tawba is an Arabic word meaning “to return”. Muslims are taught in their faith to turn to, or return to God and to retreat from sinful, evil actions and bad conduct with a commitment to abstain from such going forward. God welcomes this free choice of the believing person to change. His mercy will never fail the genuinely repentant.
This song is performed at a leisurely pace, with no hurry inviting both performer and listener to reflect on their state and turn or return to God. A reminder that despite our human characteristics, our forgetfulness, our moments of weakness, God wants us to never give up hope. He says, ‘My mercy is endless’.
Qur’an Chapter 39 verse 53 “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

CHORUS
Allah The Almighty, Allah the Almighty,
Allah The Almighty, Allah.
VERSE ONE
We turn to You day and night.
Seeking ways from wrong to right.
We turn to You in pray and bow.
Not knowing all the deeds we do.
VERSE TWO
We turn to Your endless favours.
Increasing in their flavours.
We turn to You in sheer delight.
For truth never strong to fight.
VERSE THREE
We turn to Your kindness.
Your mercy and Your mildness.
We seek Your generosity.
Forget and enter vanity.
VERSE FOUR
We turn to You in fullness.
In sorrow and in harshness.
We turn to You, The Only Way.
Forgetting on a good day.
VERSE 5
We turn to You Most Merciful.
Our sins so plentiful.
O Mankind you wrong yourselves.
My mercy is endless!
