Synopsis

Kaaliya Zulfan Wala is a classical Punjabi naat written and performed in praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

It is performed at an andante pace voicing, with the fullness of one's heart, that the ‘one with the beautiful black hair-locks’, ‘the saviour of our broken hearts’, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the most beloved of all.

The verses praise the Holy Prophet ﷺ through the eyes of the lover. Ultimately, confessing (for a Muslim) that one can never have the appropriate quality to reciprocate the pure love of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. However, the verses express the sentiment that the beloved Prophet ﷺ is perfectly praised by the Creator Most High in the Glorious Qur’an.

Such a Beautiful Prophet has never before graced the world.

A friend such as him the Lord has never created.

Loving and respecting the Prophet is a reflection of your love and obedience to God.

Upon just a gesture, the Beloved brought back the sun.

With the same gesture, he split the moon and rejoined it again.

His one gesture will make you auspicious.
